
Founder
Bergplaas Nature Reserve South Africa was founded in 2000 by Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld, Prinses van Oranje-Nassau, Princess of the Netherlands. She is an honorary member of the International Club of Budapest and founder of the Lippe-Biesterfeld NatureCollege Foundation in 2001. She is patron of the Dutch Coalition for Biodiversity, a platform of public authorities, public initiatives, nature organisations and private companies.
Social reformer Irene van Lippe initiates and facilitates transformational processes. She has been a facilitator of 'Dialogue with Nature' courses since 1993 and is the author of several books, such as 'Dialogue with Nature', and of 'Science, Soul and the Spirit of Nature'.
April 2010 she published 'Leven in Verbinding', in which the Dutch Wageningen University ecologist and philosopher Prof. Matthijs Schouten interviews her about her lectures.
